Powering the Green Industrial City
Welcome to the NZEP-conference and Energy Globe World Award
Britannia Hotel, Trondheim, 25. januar 2024

Powering Green Industrial Cities
The City as an Energy System
Whether you are going to develop attractive neighbourhoods, ensure sustainable economic development or reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, you will have to play along with the local energy system.
What if we took away energy as a bottleneck?

Make it stand out
The aim of NZEP is to connect the cities' energy needs to solutions and resources
Energy Positive Neighbourhood
Energy-positive neighbourhoods are a geographical area that is self-sufficient in energy and operates in line with UN Sustainable Development Goal 7 on Sustainable Energy Systems. Energy must come from renewable sources, be clean, and be offered at an acceptable price. To be successful, a number of conditions must be in place: the technological solutions must respond to local needs and conditions, the business models must make it possible to finance and operate the energy system, the political and legal framework must be beneficial, and most people must experience the solutions and conditions as socially acceptable. If one or more of these factors are missing, development stops.
Energy Globe World Awards.
Energy Globe collects and assesses sustainable solutions from more than 180 countries every year. The best are invited to the Energy Globe World Awards. With thousands of projects and solutions in the bag, there are few practical sustainability problems that do not have a solution here. That is why the Norsk Bærekraftsenter collaborates with the team at Energy Globe to connect needs and solutions.
